Welcome back for the UtahSkiWeather '11-'12 season.

As of tomorrow Brighton and Solitude will be opening their doors (or rather firing up their lifts!) and the backcountry, of course, has really never closed. More resort openings are scheduled over the next weeks, so as resorts open we will begin forecasting for them as well.

We have a great team at UtahSkiWeather this year and we are excited about this new season of forecasting (and skiing of course). Keep checking back for updates, and see you on the slopes.

With snow starting to blanket the mountains and resorts opening in the next weeks expect to see USW opening for the 2011-2012 season very soon.

Well, the snow if FINALLY starting to melt away. We hope you had a great season and we'll see you back here on UtahSkiWeather.com in the fall!

Snowbird is still open and going strong and is planning to stay open at least through July 4th. More surprising and unprecedented is Snowbasin's re-opening for weekends. So we now have TWO Utah ski resorts open in mid-June. And of course the backcountry is still going strong.

We will be updating the site one or two times per week as the resorts are only open on the weekends. Enjoy the snow and get out there and ski it before it all flows downhill into the Great Salt Lake.
